Did you have early/easily potty trained babies? Including EC?
Would you share your stories? Did your little ones regress? How long did it take before you were comfortable enough to take your baby out in panties/underwear? I would love to hear EC stories as well.
My 23 month old just trained with almost no intervention on my part. It seems too good to be true. I know I should just enjoy it and be happy, but I can’t help thinking that I’ll be back at square one when her dad comes home next month (I hope).
Thanks, Toddlers. I love that! Pants are not potties. I’ll use that. My husband really hopes that the diapers will be gone forever when he comes home. He hated scraping poop into the toilet!
I really wanted to EC, even bought a cute little one-piece tiny potty. But with my supre high-needs babe, I just couldn’t muster the dedication.
You know what, my DD and DS were both potty learned fully by 2.5 y.o (day and night!) No regressions AT ALL!
We got rid of all the diapers (cloth) and it never crossed their minds that they would use them again. Now and again I have washed several pairs of underwear in one day, but not too often.
When daddy comes home, won’t she be thrilled to show off her new skill?-)
As far as going out and about. We went on vacation a couple of weeks after we went to full time underwear and I bought some paper pants (pull-up type things) my son REFUSED to go in them, because pants are not potties. Which kind of sucked, because he was also scared of the rest-stop bathrooms. He also was appalled at the idea of peeing outside. He had a few accidents, but we just made sure to keep a towel in his car seat and a couple changes of pants inthe car. If I had though properly (hindsight is 20/20 you know;-) I would have brought the tiny potty and let him pee in that and then dumped it at the rest stop.
As far as daily errands go, just keep a change of clothes in the car. try to go places where you know there is a bathroom. Or, just keep a potty in the car:-)
